Our annual report reveals trends and data across airlines and airports, all published exclusively by SITA. As the global benchmark survey for the air transport industry, we bring together insights from 236 airports and more than 100 airline executives. 

Want a sneak peek of some industry trends? Here’s what you can expect:  

• IT spend: IT spend soared to an estimated $37bn for airlines, and $8.7 billion for airports. These numbers are expected to rise, fueled by record revenues and growing passenger numbers. 
• Sustainability: For 86% of airports, building energy efficiency is the no.1 priority, up from 53% in 2023. Meanwhile, 77% of airlines prioritize flight optimization software, increasing by 16 percentage points. 
• SAF: Both sectors are advancing towards net-zero by 2050: airline’s SAF sourcing has seen the biggest growth, up 26% from last year, and airport investments in SAF infrastructure up by 9.
