Ms. Reem Naim was appointed as the Senior Immigration and Border Governance Associate for the IOM Regional Office in Panama in 2024. She previously served as a Senior Project Assistant in the IOM Office of the Director General’s Special Envoy for the Regional Response to the Venezuela Situation (OSE), where she notably supported the Los Angeles Declaration project. Prior to joining IOM, Ms. Naim worked with UN OCHA as an Emergency Response Associate and Project Coordinator and also held a consultancy role with UNDP focusing on emergency management within Panama’s Ministry of Government. Her background also includes several years of experience in the private sector. Ms. Naim holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the American University of Beirut, a Master of Science in International Affairs from Florida State University, and a Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management and Homeland Security from Florida State University.
