Andrew Hoo
Director, Aruban Immigration Department
Since April 2021, Andrew is Director of the Aruban Immigration department, which resulted in a more efficient and content immigration department. Andrew was chairman of the development commission responsible for the reinforcement the border security (air and sea) thru local en regional inter-agency cooperation, sanctioned by the Dutch government. He has also managed to integrate the Royal Dutch Marachaussee to work side by side with immigration authorities to boost border security on Aruba.
Most recently Andrew created a network platform of directors of immigration within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, endorsed by the ministers of justice of all the islands within the Kingdom and the Netherlands. Andrew is responsible for showcasing Aruba within the region as the leading Caribbean tourist destination embracing seamless travel by following a series of trials using a digital identity or Digital Travel Credentials (DTC).
