Nathalie Altwegg was appointed Senior Vice President of Airports at SITA in October 2024.
Nathalie oversees the running of SITA’s Airports business, which serves the needs of thousands of airports, airlines and ground handlers across the world, spanning operational and business processes, baggage, and passenger management. She’s responsible for delivering the ultimate travel experience through airports across the world with cutting edge technology and innovation.
Prior to this, Nathalie served as Chief Operating Officer for SITA Europe for two years. With over two decades in the air transport industry, she has deep understanding of the airports and borders businesses, along with expertise in the areas of M&A, new ventures and major deals, IT outsourcing, and business development of all sizes, including large and complex business opportunities.
Nathalie brings to her role extensive experience in managing strategy, commercial, people, and portfolio. She’s experienced in delivering both long-term strategies and hands-on tactical plans. After starting out as a software engineer in Bell Northern Research Ltd-Nortel Networks, Nathalie then held a number of Vice President and Director positions throughout her career at SITA.
She holds an MBA from the leading European university IMD, and is fluent in three languages, having lived on three continents managing multi-million dollar businesses and multi-cultural teams.
